About Crew45.org First Aid Classes.
You will be building on skills you already know. If you are not prepared for a particular class level we suggest that you enroll in a lower level class.

First Aid - Basic Level. This is the same level as a Red Cross (r) First Aid class and will cover the First Aid Merit Badge requirements. If you dont know how to perform the skills in the FA merit badge book, take this class.
First Aid - Advanced. This class will build on the First Aid Merit Badge requirements and discuss things like moving patients, taking vitals, recording and reporting. You must be familiar with the FA Merit Badge requirements and be able to perform the skills.
Wilderness First Aid is a minimum of 16 hours of instruction for certification at the currently required level for Philmont requirements. We also include a minimum of 4 hours practical exercises to evaluate your skill level. For us to certify you in our WFA class you must attend the full 20 hour course and pass a written exam. This course builds on the content of the First Aid Meritbadge book. You MUST be familiar with the First Aid Merit Badge skills before signing up for this course. Completion og Advanced First Aid is a benefit but not required.
CPR/AED. This is a standard CPR/AED course. The first par of this course is online and must be completed prior to class arrival. This certification is good for 2 years.
Tramatic Injury Wound Care - This course is for students over 18 years of age. This is not a standard First Aid course. The content and issues surrounding this level of care is graphic and can be disturbing. If you are in a field where tramatic injury may be incurred you should attend this training. This training will deal with blunt force trauma, gun shot wounds, amputations, and the results of violent encounters. You must be familiar with the increasing stages of care for the patient and have completed, at a minimum, Advanced First Aid.
