Clark County Shooting Park in Danger! The Clark County Board of Commissioners has placed on its July 1 agenda a public comment period to address the Clark County Shooting Park and the outrageous claims brought forward by a small, yet vocal group of homeowners whose sole purpose is to prevent the shooting center from opening. It is vital that NRA members attend the public meeting or contact the Commissioners to voice their strong support for this much-needed shooting park. Please ask the commissioners not to alter the current design and to support the current plan. The meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Clark County Government Center at 500 Grand Central Parkway in Las Vegas, Nevada. If you are unable to attend, please contact the County Commission at (702) 455-3500 or click here for a list of email addresses. Reprint from NRA-ILA click for original story

Speak Up Now On Right-To-Carry In National Parks:  As we've reported over the last few weeks, the U.S. Department of the Interior has issued a proposed rule to eliminate the prohibition on Right-to-Carry in national parks and wildlife refuges. The National Rifle Association led the effort to change this policy and we are very close to winning this important battle.

However, the new rules will not take effect until after a public comment period.  Our opponents will take advantage of this time to try to convince the Secretary of the Interior to reverse his decision.  NRA members must take action now so that the anti-gunners are not allowed to sway this process. Reprint from NRA-ILA

Just Stupid..

This one is from the NRA Outrage of the week
Outrage Of The Week

"This week’s outrage comes to us from Winchendon, Massachusetts where, in yet another case of“zero-tolerance” enforcement defying common sense, fourth-grader Bradley Geslak was suspended from Toy Town Elementary School for bringing a Memorial Day souvenir to school. " (nraila.org)

...it goes on to even more stupid stuff...

Ms. Geslak,“I was totally shocked. I couldn’t believe this was happening,” she said.“It was just an empty shell, not even from a real bullet. A sharpened pencil would be more dangerous than this piece of metal.” (nraila.org)

You should read the entire article above in its original version by following the link.
The arguments made by the school is simply anythgin that goes into a gun or is used by a gun could be considered a weapon, ie the brass that makes up a bullet. By the same reasoning I suppose the wood or a stock or the plastic in a magazine or the lead or copper of a bullet should also be considered dangerous. That would restrict pencils, water pipes, and the chairs students sit in.. Humm make you wonder... How stupid can we get?

Just my thoughts,
-DH
